A video to see for those who want to understand the relationship between GMO’s and gluten intolerance and sensitivity. Also relates to connections between GMO’s and other kinds of food sensitivities or allergies.
A conversation between GMO expert Jeffrey Smith, author of Seeds of Deception and Genetic Roulette and Gluten Intolerance expert Tom Malterre (author of two gluten free cookbooks and known also as Tom the Nutritionist), in which they exchange knowledge and information about the common points between the health effects of GMOs and the symptoms of Gluten Intolerance.
Explores how leaky gut, suppressed digestion, and increased immune system load play into both kinds of problems, postulating ways in which GMOs may be a partial cause and/or aggravator of gluten intolerance.
Points out that it is helpful for those on gluten-free diets to also eliminate GMOs from their diets. People who do so get better faster.
The language they use is somewhat technical, and the conversation is packed with scientific and medical detail, but I suspect a lot of the language and human biology discussed will be familiar to those with gluten sensitivity and or other immune or digestive difficulties.
Even in cases where the level of language makes the conversation hard to follow for a viewer, I think it is such good information, it would be well worth a couple of viewings to better understand it, and/or enlisting a more knowledgeable person as a watching buddy, so they can help explain the parts that are difficult to understand.
