The European Union (EU) currently has 8 Genetically Engineered Crops awaiting approval, including one renewal for Monsanto’s MON810 Corn Variety, which was approved in 1998 and is the only biotech crop grown commercially in the EU.
But 19 of the 28 EU countries are opting out, thanks to a new law letting them do so.
(Heck, no– we won’t grow! (those GMO’s))
